I lived in Honolulu's chinatown for 13 years and I mean IN Chinatown. I remember going to Maunakea Market place every week to buy smoothies. BTW, that smoothie please you went to is owned by one of my friend's parents! Chinatown is a lot of fun, especially when they have the Chinese New years festival! Chinatown is small, a little...err very stinky but I would not to have lived without it.
This is a nice short video of Hawaii's Chinatown. What is not known is that China's Imperial family, the Chou Dynasty, resides in the State of Hawaii and has been there for over 130 years.
Not a great Chinatown I was let down but I am from NYC and Im used to our hugh Chinatown.
