I have a Sony HDR-FX1E. The tripod is OK, but there are certain situations where a passing train will shake the camera. In this case, I was standing on top a loose pile of dirt and gravel.

Sucks about the shale, what camera are you using? Is the shake from a lightweight tripod, or actual problem with the camera?
