I am glad to report that my parents DID get out of the house - with nothing but photo albums - but they made it out, so we are very thankful for that. Thanx for the footage (there is apparantly more of their house too, which I want to see when I find out who has it:(

oh wow, you guys sure were in the thick of things. Did your neighbours whose house you showed with only the chimney standing, end up making it out okay? I sure hope they did.. thank you for posting the footage you filmed, the news crews do a good job with what they film, but these clips from ordinary people is what really brings it home.
