The Doctor talks about it like it's nothing. Pancreititis is an absolutely horrible disease. Those 3-5 days of a pancreatic attack are the longest and most painful days you will ever endure. No fucking joke at all.

Guess what soome of us do not drink . I hate all DR. They assume you are a drug seeker or drinker. I wish I could touch a dr. and referr my pain to them briely but long enough for them to know what pain is!!!!!!

Bullshit....very few alcoholics develop pancreatitis so the blame should go more to genetics and toxins in general....newer studies even indicate that quitting drinking does not delay damage to the pancreas or even ease the pain...diets high in natural poisons(some nuts and seafood) and smoking(the chemicals added to cigarettes) are among the most contributing causes....having mothers that smoke also increase the risk of a child having pancreatitis

not all of us drink! some of us have had chronic pains all there life some of us can spend weeks at a time afraid to eat or drink anthing including water because it is the most painful thing you could ever imagine!! when you are still a teenager and your life comes to an abrubt hault because of uncontrolable parylizing pain it discusts me to see everywhere people assuming you must be a drunk or seeking pain killers. until they have been there not even a dr can imagine what pancreatitis really is

My husband was the same, no symptons and yes, I hate it when Dr's treat it as if it was nothing or they expect you to die or you brought it on yourself from drinking. Husband rushed to hospital, within 36 hrs on life support, spent 46 days in hospital 1st time, been in and out 4 more times this year, 4 surgeries, disability denied us twice, we lost our home, jobs, education, ministry...struggle to survive. Got rushed to hospital 6 years ago almost to the day with the most violent abdominal pain imaginable,literally screaming out loud for God. Got tranquilised in the ambulance,next thing I know I'm waking up a month later,having spent every minute of that time in intensive care with my life hanging by a thread. Pancreatitis is,or certainly can be horrific and fatal.
