nelson mandela the speed painting

The portrait of Nelson Mandela was painted in a 36 hour straight run.
I attempted to paint the image of Nelson Mandela with no initial sketch markings which made the challenge intense from the beginning.
After I completed the first sweep, I was able to correct a few things but I was very surprised that this image went so smoothly; yes the same music has been used in a few of my other videos including my live show of Nelson Mandela but ironically the song was requested by the client that commissioned the painting... weird.
