You should have smiply listened to there conversations, specally the pyro dude's why he is gone

you cant kindle past 10 flasks without the rite of kindling you get from the boss in the catacombs. Just so you dont waste humanity.

you can buy large titanite shards from crestfallen merchant in sen's fortress they are 4k each.

Crimson armor is ok, you need a better helm and upgrade your heavy leather gloves i think.
