Deep Purple performed with Luciano Pavarotti at the huge Pavarotti & Friends concert in 2003, namely Ian Gillan's duet with Pavarotti on Nessun Dorma. You can watch this and many more on the double DVD "Highway Star, A Journey In Rock" of Ian Gillan.

  • brividi

  • not good

  • fali netko

  • Pavarotti didn't do these "Friends" concerts to compete, but to have a good time and share some good music. He liked Rock/Pop and even certain Rap's if you can believe it. He enjoyed good music period. You can tell Pavarotti is older, he is near 70, but he still singing with ease and just having a good time.

  • @nazzare79 Amen to that!!!

  • Ian was a legend, but im sorry that was no good.....dont go up next to pavarotti, unless you are dead sure you can match him. In this case Ian Gillan didnt, Shame....i think ill listen to his version of Gethsemane to cheer me up

  • Yes he once was the greatest! And now he's just a singer , but respect!!
