In a few days they will be releasing Optimum Ultra which will give speeds of 101/15Mbps for $99 a month. It will utilize Docsis 3 technology/.

Hey dude right now i have verizon fios with the download speed of 48970kbps and an upload speed of 5304 kbps. My question to you is is this faster than optimum online or is it slower (by how much). I am asking you this because my dad wants to switch us over to optimum online to save some bucks. And does optimum online provide you with a free router. BTW i only pay about 40 tops for the internet alone, your paying over 50 :O PLEASE ANSWER ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TNX

The speed that you say you have their which is 50/5 Verizon does not have on their packages. The package they have is 50/20 and the price for that package is$139.99 a month not "40 tops". As for your question tell you dad to switch over to CV becouse now CV has 100/20 for $99 a month. Only downside is that their is a $300 activation charge but it still works out to be cheaper than Verizons top tier by far plus you dont have to have a contract. Could you also post an image of these speeds? Thanks

Uhh, friend in Brooklyn has it (OOL Ultra)... he gets 78mbps down on the first day... then it keeps going down day by day. At this moment, he has 21mbps and Cablevision's Customer Service says "Hey, would you like Optimum Voice?" and as soon as he says no, he gets placed on hold for 10 minutes and then they hang up.

Fios 50/20 is $89.95 if you live in NY or VA. It's $139.95 everywhere else. You'll be saving money with Fios if you live in NY and are comparing the top tiers of each service, but your speed will be half that of Optimum's max. You can pretty much guarantee consistency with Fios however.

i have comcast with constant speed of 40.42 download and 4.46 upload, loving the fast speed. thats definitely all docsis. 3.0
