American Experiences: Art, Diversity, Multiculturalism in Berlin

During the past few decades, Berlin has become one of Europe's most diverse cities. This video examines Berlin's diversity though the eyes of American tourists and longer term residents. Interviewees offer insight into what draws Americans to Berlin, the ways in which the Berlin's unique art scene and multiculturalism have made the city what is today, and their thoughts on how Berlin's diversity will shape its future.

The video was conceived, filmed and produced by interns of the Public Affairs section at the U.S. Embassy Berlin.

Es gibt kaum eine Stadt, die sich in den letzen Jahrzehnten mehr verändert hat als Berlin. Wir haben in Berlin lebende Amerikaner und Touristen gefragt, was Berlin von anderen Städten unterscheidet und wieso sie so gerne hier sind. Die Interviews geben uns Einblicke in die ungewöhnliche Entwicklung der Stadt als Mekka für Kunst und Kultur sowie als eines der multikulturellen Zentren Europas.
