  • There is no warm up prior to the workout. Warm ups, or lack of them seem to be a big point of contention among some of the people who have commented on my workout videos. I don't do them because I don't need to do them. I don't attempt to lift weights I am not capable of lifting. All the injuries I have observed in a gym setting result from a trainee trying to lift weights he/she is not capable of. And all were warmed up at the time.

  • Great workout guys, I`m curious how many days do you take in between workouts?

  • @dapride147

    Thanks.I workout once per week.

  • Good stuff as usual. I'm still going well on my FB A/B routine with the 'rush factor. I take it the opening of James's place went well on Saturday? It looks fantasic.

  • @HIT4120

    Hi Glynn,

    Thanks.Hope you are keeping well.

    Cheers

  • Another Brutal workout Mark .

If only those looking in could feel ( or know ) how intense such training is , especially when using the `rush factor`. Great work.

    Best wishes , T.

  • @Cragails

Thanks T, hope you are well.

  • Forget this slow motion and pre-fatique bullshit. Research clearly shows this is inferior to normal cadence and using straight sets, i.e., no pre-exhaustion. Stick to normal sets and add weight slowly but surely. Sick to basic exercises like squats, benches and shoulder presses with a barbell. If you dont believe me, try this bullshit for a few months and then try to lift your previous weights, I guarantee you will be weaker!

  • @PureHIT2008 Its funny how Mentzer says dont warm up then I see a video of him warming up and stretching, Then its low reps low sets, I saw him doing 8-10 multiple sets. HIT is really just powerlifting. It will get you strong thats it.

  • @shenkeey No,what do u mean?

  • @aianbanhxeo You didn't see what he did before the video...?

  • why no warm up ?

  • Breath-holding & grunting might -seem- to help at the end of sets, but they actually cause a quick "shut-off" when the hold/grunt is over. When you -do- breath, you do it well; keep that up to the very end & your muscular tension will slowly, steadily lower to zero instead of dropping / shutting off. This applies even if you're stuck in bottom position with no movement. It's the effort that inroads your last crucial bit of strength.

  • should the positive action be a slower movement?

  • You're a beast -- a real inspiration to the rest of us.

  • not a free weight in sight.
