How far can you fall before using the Ledge Grab to save yourself from desynchronization via death?

Altair is definitely not acrophobic. I tried to see how far I could fall before I grabbed the side of the wall. I can make it to the next to the bottom ledge, but every time I try for the bottom ledge I die. See if you can do it. Of course I had a few accidents along the way. The last take is a deliberate suicide; I tried to impale myself on the flagpole, but I'm sure that's impossible...

Also I show you a good way to get to the top of this View Point in case you don't know.
