Just days after losing her husband, Elinor Beatrice was close to losing her home as well. Her husband, longtime local athletic coach Jeffrey L. Beatrice, died of a heart attack on Friday, October 23rd at the Ashmont Avenue home they shared with their seven school-aged children. And after years of struggling under mortgages and battling the prospect of foreclosure, the financial firm that holds their homes mortgage is set to auction it off on January 5th. -The Newton TAB
