hemorrhage from tonsilectomy (my 6th one)

My throat isn't healing like it should. At this point I've lost about 2 pints of blood throughout the day. Shortly after this video I went to the hospital. I was at the hospital a few days prior to the same issue. I was advised it wasn't that big of a deal 4.5 pints in a week seems like a big deal to me.

I actually had gone to the hospital 5 times prior to this. They kept underplaying it and saying it wasn't a big deal.

omg u really need to get this sorted no joke!! i had my tonsils out in the 6 week holiday in england and hemorrhaged 2 times, they kept me in and i hemorrhaged 2 more times ( load of shit :/ ) then had a massive hemorrage and lost 20 bowls of blood and had to be rushed to surgery and nearly had to have to blood transfusions. so i really would get them to sort it out asap ... all the best mate .

well it turned out I was hemorrhaged because the doctor cut two arteries in my throat. I found out after I hemorrhaged for a 7th time on a flight from home. The doctor was surprised I was alive when I arrived to the hospital because I had the same amount of blood as a 7 year old girl. They took me into surgery and fixed me up.

Blood does taste like rust but it's much worse when you digest a lot of it. Your body doesn't appreciate it to say the least.

btw an average 7 year old girl weighs about 40lbs, I'm 26 and weigh 200lbs.

I remember i had a bleed when i woke up on the 7th morning.. went to hospital and they kept me in for 2 nights... after the first night i woke up and had another bleed.. on the second i didnt bleed at all and havnt bled since.. i am on day 11 now and on a fast track to recovery.. i can see my skin under the thin layer of white what remains there but eating is still a bit discomforting.. i can eat whatever i want but it takes time and precision chewing the damn thing haha :)

Dark red blood docent matter only if it's a bright red then it's a problem

I got mine done 6/21/11 and I bled a lot of dark dark red blood and really cold water works for me when it starts hurting or I get Any taste of blood in my mouth maybe you should try ice water it shrinks the vein and stops the bleeding

Wow this brings back bad memories from when my throat did this in hospital, I lost 3 pints of blood in total. Was really awful.
