One magnet no bearing Bedini motor

This is a one magnet Bedini motor which uses no axles or bearings and runs on as little as 2.6v.It uses one off those crazy magnets that usually come in pairs as a rotor.A plastic top from a coffee jar is placed over a coil with a steel core and the crazy magnet given a spin.It seems to charge batteries quite well and i think it would also make quite a neat toy.Thanks to Eroutt for posting his idea which led me to this.

@digitalrealms.No revolving magnetic field here apart from the magnet.Tesla used a revolving AC magnetic field for the drive for his Tesla egg so completly different to what you see here.

@delcopond Thanks.This type of motor makes it easy for anyone to get interested in electronics and it is quite something to see that egg spinning.This type of motor is very efficient and later models use stronger diametric magnets and can do some amazing things.Have a look at my channal and you will find quite a lot of vids on this project and you may find the ones on satellite rotors interesting.Thanks for your interest.Jonny.

Spinning the magnet on top of a pc of glass would help too since its a shiny surface unless you know some material thats better than glass
