  • Its hard for folks to understand what true aikido feels like by only watching a aikido technique. If the time comes that one finds himself on the receiving end of one, he will know there is truth in aikido.

  • I am a judoka. I've seen the ways of using my opponents strength againts themselves. I would very much like to learn aikido so that I may be able to fight on the inside and outside of an opponent. What a combination that would be! All fighting arts that share the spirit of Budo are intertwined and these two are espcially complimentary. I love it when these haters who know nothing about dynamic reversal or small joint manipulation get on here to talk trash. Ever been in a wrist lock? Lol!

  • @Vunderblitz I have been in a wrist lock and it hurts.Your only choice is to go with it,if you resist then your wrist will break.

  • @fireguysith strength doesnt always lose to technique..like brock lestner

  • i like aikido coz they just throw opponents out of your way and its flawless

  • i would like to learn aikido

  • @aikikev

You may be right about the hobby part. But aren't we defined by everything we do?

I agree we should make the most of the time we have. We're likely to be longer dead than living. :-)

  • @Micahel213 a hobby is something used to pass time. a 'way of life' is something that defines your very being and gives you purpose, its something that helps you realise how precious and delicate life is. (btw im not a religious nut job, im a great believer that once your dead thats it, i do however believe that you should make the most of the small amount of time you do have)

  • @aikikev

Don't fool yourself. There's no 'way of life' . There's just life. Between getting born and dying there are just ways of passing time.

  • @navalsamuraix2 then you must practice niten ichi ryu also? you practice any other JSA?

  • @Micahel213 a way of life my friend, not a hobby

  • Ken Broome stressed timing and when he demonstrated a technique on you it hurt and was impeccably done. Thanks I had to learn the kogegeish breakfall.
