that would def. make BOWDEN retire...if FLORIDA was #1 headed to the rose bowl.....and FSU made us lose and fall out of the ranks! UF did that to FSU 32-29...GREATEST game ever in the SWAMP!

Don't even remind me of that game. We had the national title in the bag that year. Michigan and Nebraska were nothing compared to FSU's 97 team. UF had no business beating us that year, but that's what rivalries are about.

Marquand Manuel was a great safety for Florida but this play will forever define his career lol. If he could have caught that it would have been a totally different game. Still props to FSU tho they just outplayed us at the end

@etchosts I'm pretty sure this was 1998 because Marcus Outzen was the QB. He was the guy who played for an injured Chris Weinke in the national championship when they lost to Tennessee.

@oblio203 Got the paycheck and stopped caring. Problem with a lot of college guys who excel on raw talent is that they often lack the work ethic to get it done in the NFL.
