what size diameter cutouts did you have to use? They are welded to the stock exhaust?
djwhips 1 year ago
@djwhips 3", I had a welder make up a couple of slightly bent sections of 3" SS and weld them to the stock pipes right where they bend. Then fastened a SS header flange to them. The cutouts are then bolted up to the flanges. I wish I had some pictures for you but I don't.

@Wevsvet . I have 1994 C4, and I remove the resonator and I put 2.5" pipes directly from the manifold and I put the badlanzhpe cutouts in the same place of your car , and the sound is different that your car, what I need to do to have the same sound of your car? thanks from monterrey mexico

@LuisatMex Could be several things. My car probably has a little more hp plus headers. I believe the hp was right at 380 at the rear wheels when I made this video. That in itself would make a lot of difference. It's really hard to make car sound identical there are to many things that can change the sound.

how is the stock exhaust under there? Is it too restrictive to just do shorty headers? I was going to go with short headers, run stock exhaust the rest of the way and put cutouts in the same spot. Last time i did an exhaust on a vette it looked like the stock system was exactly what they put in.

@djwhips From what I understand shorties aren't much better than the stock manifolds performance wise. LT's are best for any performance gain.
The stock system on my car is joined up to the headers with slip joints and band clamps.
