3 things are very telling about this case. 1. he met with a woman who has not come forward to this day. why would someone not come forward? 2. the fact that he and this woman toured the shops in that area, together and at times alone and then regrouped and spoke, then broke away again, seriously suggests to me they were looking for a particular object.3. true, it may be normal for a DA to destory hard drive, but why do it *8 months* prior to retiring and not on the day of or week of?

@melikab this brings up another possibility. we dont know exactly what he was searching for. they only mention he was looking for ``directions`` to the town. but how you search for directions makes all the difference. he may not have been looking for the directions per say, but rather the route itself. i do this all the time myself, search for a route i know and then look for a particular landmark, short cuts, back roads, etc. they cant know exactly what part of the map he was interested in.

@witster18 i agree but then 2 things stand out. first, he calls the GF to let her know he wont be back until later, *while* he is on the road. why should he do that, i wonder, unless he got confirmation of his appointment around that same time. in which case, why has no documentary ever mentioned his cell phone record for the last 48 hrs? 2nd, shouldnt he already know the length of a drive he has allegedly taken many times before?

I think he held back information on a serious crime . I think he tried to 'erase' the hard drive to make sure no one knew what he had done and that he was so ashamed of his actions he then killed himself. Very sad story. Wish they had updates LoL I so want to know what happened!

This his so sad, his poor family. It looks to me like he copied his older brother and committed suicide. At least it doesn't look like he is still alive...I don't know though.
