The commentators really avoided this one. Hardly even any audible concern. horrible crash. I think the last shot pretty much sums up the reality of deaths in mototsport, tragic and depressing.

@MrStig66 The arms crossed over the head means that medical attention is required to the car. Does not necessarily mean that he has been knocked out, it's just to let the communicator (who is in contact with race control) know, and a doctor will be sent. Might just mean that the driver (in a couple of cases i've attended) has a broken nose or sprained ankle

It can also mean specifically that the driver is non-responsive. There was a lot of discussion on a previous upload of this crash regarding the meaning. It does not mean the driver is dead, just unconscious.

They did not know at this point that he was dead. I doubt they would do that in Bathurst coverage today, they seem to avoid showing the drivers involved in serious accidents.
