Francis Albert "Frank" Sinatra (pronounced /sɨˈnɑːtrə/; December 12, 1915 -- May 14, 1998) was an American singer and actor.

Beginning his musical career in the swing era with Harry James and Tommy Dorsey, Sinatra became a successful solo artist in the early to mid-1940s, being the idol of the "bobby soxers". His professional career had stalled by the 1950s, but it was reborn in 1954 after he won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor (for his performance in From Here to Eternity).

  • @65motowngirl Amazing. Time does fly indeed. But for Frank and his music, time seems to stand still.

  • Music that speaks to you - it has soul. This suff is immortal, unlike today's garbage designed to damage your eardrums and turn your brain into mash.

  • @earthboundJim Very True......this music.....Mr. Sinatra.....is timeless....

    Thanks for listening

  • I'm 65 now, this song hits home. I love Sinatra.

  • "It Was a Very Good Year" was a song composed by Ervin Drake in 1961 for and originally recorded by Bob Shane of The Kingston Trio.... But none made it better...

  • @trendy188 No, we don't. Stop oversimplifying things you know nothing about.

  • @earthboundJim Oh please. There was garbage music back in the 1920s, in the 1960s, and there's garbage music now. There's also exceptionally brilliant music now, in the 1960s, and the 1920s.

The moment you oversimplify today's music as "garbage" is when you're marked as ignorant.

  • What a lovely clear voice.

  • Great artist and song

  • There was the golden age of jazz, the golden age of rock, the golden age of pop, today we have the tin age of hip hop.

  • NOTHING BUT THE BEST
