@KolbTechnology Thank you for your help, I got a good mark on my coursework :D
-
how do you go from a clay model to a whatever-ton press for making the actual steel panel?
-
@patslevin72 Repeatable sub-millimeter accuracy on a door part that size? Get real.
-
Give it to me I will rough it out in 10 mins... Sh**t strategy lol.

@racepicman
The video shows the 2008 version of the machine. In the meantime we upgraded the machine and now Kolb StudioLine M has a max. travel speed of 18m/min. The machine uses now also a stronger milling head with 7.4kW and can mill hard-board up to 1000kg/m³.

@Cringeage
We used a material called RAKU-TOOL from RAMPF. For more details about the material see their webpage at >>>rampf-tooling.de/en/tooling-product-overview/product-overview/modeling-styling-boards/
There a different colours of those boards - each colour referring to a certain density. The material is also known undern the name UREOL.
