I'd say 1985 - 1995. Cobain died in '94, and then Shannon Hoon died in '95 and that was pretty much the end.

In 89 "grunge" was cool but sleeves were not! How in the world was that 20 years ago ???

Sweet "eyes of stone" so young it doesn't even have the album lyrics! This band had crushing grooves and Ben was a vocal/lyrical genius.
