Dogs vs. Mashed Potatoes

Two year olds Haiku, the Australian Siberian, and best friend Zoey, the Bernese, share a dish of gooey mashed potatoes in the yard.

Shot mainly to test the video recording abilities of my new Canon 60D.

I love Haiku! Definitely one of the most gorgeous Husky mixes I've ever seen! And Zoey is almost a cat with those whiskers! o.o Haha loved the random Border Collie in the background. xD

How much was your Canon? I love how it records, perfect quality!

@xWolfHauntx Why thanks! Zoey did have some crazy whisker stuff going on. My 60D was a bit under 1k I think? I never use it for video recording though, find the lack of auto focus to be a PITA as far as moving subjects. But it's a great camera otherwise.

This is not very good for your dogs by the way!:( Dogs are carnivores and have a system to process raw meat and bones , feeding them potatoes like that is hard on their internal organs and is not usefull for them

@crayzme I've never heard of mashed potatoes being "hard on their internal organs" and I consider myself pretty dog-savvy. I definitely agree they're of no use but harmful? No way. They're high in carbs so this was basically a one time thing. Had some leftovers and thought it was funny how they munched on them much in the way some dogs munch on peanut butter (but neither of these two will touch it.) Rest assured I feed my guys premium, grain-free kibble in daily life.

@crayzme Feeding them all the time yes, but once in a while no. Hamburgers arent really good for you so does that mean you never eat them?! :P

@crayzme some foods are not dog-safe - onions, chocolate, apple cores - but potatoes aren't among the toxic or harmful ones. Veggies can be good supplements for dogs if you feed the right ones. I don't think these two are suffering any.
