FYI- I reviewed the Multiplayer because it's where 99% of the replayability comes from. The IGN review of the campaign is somewhat accurate aside from the framerate issues I didn't have (they were playing on PS3 whereas I have a 360).

Too bad everyone's reviews are saying that it was campaign that was lacking and multiplayer was where it was at despite it lacking content wise. Many fail to see that DICE's other titles had a lot of content to start with given the fact they they also developed the single player campaign in their games whereas they did not here.

Where Joystiq fails in its review is by claiming that MoH's multiplayer was a failed attempt at an "arcadey, twitch-based shoot" when that isn't true at all in the least. MoH's multiplayer is a modified BC2 experience where players only do well by implementing realistic combat tactics and NOT twitch-style gameplay.

Any notion of this being a twitch-based shooter was simply a misconception due to the large number of opponents the reviewer faced that ALSO attempted to play this game as though it were MW2. Ultimately they all failed. Too many people, including many reviewers, are taking their negative experience of not doing well due to horrible teammates, opponents, and their assumption of how the game was meant to be played and simply are spreading VERY innacurate and unfair judgements of the game.

You can NOT compare a single player and a COMPETITIVE multiplayer experience fairly seeing as they're general intentions are completely different. It's more fair to compare an RPG's campaign versus a FPS'.

Joystiq ultimately failed in their reviews.

For a much more accurate review of Medal of Honor's multiplayer check this video out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiiFyeElG44

So this video is just me going over my initial impressions of the multiplayer aspect of Medal of Honor. Check back tomorrow for an EPIC gameplay commentary along with tips for those non Battlefield players who are too used to twitch-based shooters like Modern Warfare 2.

  • the one thing, I hate about MP is that I cant choose the gun I want to use. Ex: I would just love to use the M4, or M16, and you can only use it if your on the rangers side. Thats BULL SHIT! Thats really about it, other then that great game.

  • @TheDarkVideos You unlock the enemy weapons at a higher level so you can have whatever you want. It doesn't take long at all to rank up.

  • @19AthleticNerd90 Well let me tall you the pro and cons and they are eseay to describe. Pros: 1) Sound... OMG the sound. 2) Soldiers animations and models look great. 3) Maps and missions are realistic and the environment reacts to destruction. Among other tings... Cons: 1) Cant go prone in multilayer only in single player. 2) Connection online is a bit hard sometimes. 3) It needs more weapons and classes of soldiers. 4) It takes place in afganistan only so maps are few. (Its worth the 20 us)

  • @eblgraphics

I wanted to know, because my friend offered to give me it for $20, Is that a good deal?

  • @19AthleticNerd90 I play it all the time and in my humble opinion yes the maps have error like you cant hop over a little bump or S like that... In reality this games is more realistic in all aspects than BO all the way DUDE...
