The mysterious hot dude flashed a set of beaming white teeth at both me and Joe. "Yeah, this is Taylor." Zac concluded. "Taylor," He grabbed his hand and pointed with his other at Joe. "This is Joe, I've told you about him." Then moved his finger to me. "This is Nick, Whom I haven't mentioned. He's. Joe's boyfriend." There was a slight pause in the last sentence. Still a sore subject I see.
"It's nice to meet both of you." He reached over the table and shook my hand first. "You especially, Joe." He shook his hand as he said his name. "From what I've heard you're . . " He laughed. "Not the Best boyfriend." Joe looked down at his hands ashamed. I looked at Zac and he was blushing.
Taylor moved his hand to Joe's chin and lifted his eyes to his own. "Everyone deserves a fresh start, and second chances." Unvoluntarily, my hand slapped Taylor's away from my mans chin.
"Mine." I muttered. Joe and Taylor both laughed. Joe pulled me into his chest and kissed my forehead.
"Yes, I am yours." He said smiling down at me. For a few seconds I forgot we were out in public and that his ex and his ex's new boyfriend were watching us intently.
"You guys are so cute!" Me and Joe whipped our heads around see Selena and Demi approaching. Took them long enough.
"Hi!" I said struggling free of Joe's grasp. I made my way to them. I saw Demi take Selena's hand. I saw Selena pull her hand out of Demi's and smile at me like nothing happened. I literally saw Demi's heart sink. Selena smiled at me and hugged me.
"Sup, Honey?" Selena said wrapping her arm around my waist. I wrapped my arms around her neck tight. I burried my head in her hair. I steered her away from the rest of the crowd.
If you had been watching from a distance and didn't know about my fondness for men it would have looked like I was showing affection for Selena who you would have assumed was my girlfriend. You would have been so wrong. I was furious. I didn't know Demi very well. But she was my friend no doubt. She was also the first person to acknowledge my existance at my new school. That meant something to me. I didn't want to see her hurt again like I just saw her. "Ok, I'm going to tell you how this is going to go down. You are going to do exactly as I say." I whispered into her hair. I didn't ask if she understood or if she got it. Because she was going to understand. She was going to get it. There was no negotiating on this subject. I'd seen it go down the wrong way every time. It ends now.
As we rounded the corner of the food court that led to the deserted hall that led to the restrooms I released her. I pushed her, gently, against the wall and put my hands on her shoulder. Making her look me in the eyes. Just to reasure her that this was a serious matter.
"What are you doing?!" I asked. Unleashing Nick the Dick. I hated being him but I had no problem with it in this situation.
"What are you talking about?" She asked. "Why'd you bring me here?"
"Because I didn't want to have a bunch of people stare at me when I yell at you."
Confusion struck her eyes. "Why would you yell at me?"
I am Nick the Dick, hear me roar! "You really have to ask?! I get it I haven't known her for long but I care for Demi! I thought you might too, after what happened last night! Didn't you see the hurt in her eyes when you pulled your hand away from hers? No, of course you didn't because you didn't care enough to look! You were her first! You were so many girls first. You treated every single one of them the way you're treating Demi. Everytime I've sat back and bit my tongue, only because I didn't know any of them personally. I know Demi and I won't let you hurt her! You want her then act like you want her. Tell her you want her! You don't, then make that abundantly clear. She's not just another toy you can play with when your bored. She's my friend and you will not treat her like you treat everyone else. You said so yourself she's amazing. She deserves better."
She understood the point I was trying to make but she also looked quite confused. "Nick?" She asked.
"What?" I asked.
"You don't like her as more than a friend . . . do you?" She started looking nervous. I knew she liked Demi! I started looking nervous. Did I like Demi?

Ooooh I bet you hate Nick right now xD
