Reading Education Assistance Dogs at the Library is an introduction to the literacy program offered by Intermountain Therapy Animals of Salt Lake City, Utah. This video promotes the R.E.A.D. program that brings therapy animals into libraries to help children with reading. Find out how dogs help children develop reading skills. Common concerns about bringing dogs into libraries are addressed. Contact ITA at 801-272-3439 or info@therapyanimals.org for more information about starting a program at your library. This online production is made possible by BETTY KEUFFEL, ITA's longest serving volunteer (July 1993 - February 2010). Betty loved dogs and books. Thank you, Betty!
