Push Notifications save battery power on phone, offer faster delivery of messages and "gosh darnit, users love it." But how to use it? Did it accidentally get left out of the Snow Leopard Server manuals? In this video we configure Push Notification services for a Mac OS X 10.6 mail server (running Dovecot) and also for iCal. Overall, this new feature in Mac OS X Server 10.6 should be one of the more compelling features, offering an alternative to Blackberry Enterprise Server or ActiveSync for Windows Mobile/iPhone.
