@REMchout "Just A Touch" will always be one of my favorite songs. Such a classic track.

Hyena was on Life's Rich Pageant, which came out in '86. When was this song originally recorded / performed/ written? The video is from 84, unless it's titled incorrectly.

REM had written a lot of songs early that would end up on later albums. Check my Tyrone's 81 Audio for examples.

Thanks for clarifying. I have always been a fan of their music but never studied their methods of writing and recording.

Yeah, a lot of times I just assume songs on an album are just instantly written and recorded at that time...it's interesting to find that some songs are pretty old...both Just A Touch and What If We Give It Away date way back to 81.
