Four passionate gamers who have burned rubber on the race track through their video game consoles have brought their racing dreams to life at an actual speedway for the eighth installment of the Mustang 10 Unleashed campaign.

Ford called upon the gaming community and staged a tournament with the best Need for Speed™ players and determined four gamers that would face the ultimate challenge: racing a real 2010 Ford Mustang. The selected gamers competed against each other in the critically-acclaimed Need for Speed SHIFT™, which includes the new 2010 Ford Mustang.

With the help of driving teachers from Fast Lane Racing School, the gamers had the opportunity to learn the in and outs of the actual sport of racing. The whole point of the Mustang Unleashed Campaign is to intersect the passions of our life-long Mustang lovers with their most creative, wildest, most impossible dreams, said Steve Ling, car group marketing manager for Ford Motor Company.

This experience is among several other dream Mustang experiences Ford is bringing to life with The 10 Unleashed. Each of the incredible videos can be viewed on www.the2010Mustang.com.

  • @mrjmjonesey damn you got all of youtube with that

  • ever wonder how they feel.... ?? "tricked" what so real about a game ?? try a sim....

  • Forza > Gran Turismo > NFS > all other shit racing games

  • pretty funny how the NFS gamers are using a GT500 and in real life they have a GT

  • As real as driving in drugs

  • if you play gt5 with the g25/27 racing wheel, it unlocks a completely different world of driving. The computer doesn't compensate for all the small steering inputs, auto-corrections, etc etc. You can modulate throttle and braking much more, plus the steering is so much more precise. I haven't played NFS, so I cant say anything about that, but as far as GT5 goes, if you can afford the g27 system, it's 100% worth it. It makes the driving experience 10x better than the controller.

  • @SYDBRINK I've played NFS shift and shift unleashed quite alot actually, I didn't put shift down for like a month after I got it....and the engine sounds are far more realistic than GT5, it doesn't matter to me how many cars are in a game if they sound absolutely nothing like real life...

  • @DeAdiSSu3 i was just going to ask you the same.. sounds like you have not played those 2 NFS games much. why whould anyone comment on something they have no experience of ? the NFS games dont have so realistic sound either... atleast not better then GT5 like you are saying. NFS dont have over 1000cars and i know all cars in GT5 dont sound good but there is plenty :) those 2 NFS games are worst to play with a g27 atleast. dont think its any difference with other wheels.

  • @SYDBRINK Yeah, NFS shift was pretty realistic, Shift 2 unleashede even more so. Have you ever even played them? I have plenty of driving experience, just because I don't like GT5 doesn't mean otherwise, that game is horrible. The cars don't even sound remotely similar to real life.

  • @DeAdiSSu3 are you serious? you said nfs shift is realistic.... biggest joke ever. if you think that you clearly dont have any driving experience. what did you think i ment? pretty obvious.
