Dressing up for the 2007 Herb Festival. My costume is my own work and was made specifically to commemorate the Oklahoma Centennial. The skirt is made from the Sense and Sensibility Beatrix Potter Walking Skirt pattern and the Gibson Girl blouse was made from the Folkwear Pattern. Special thanks to my brother David for the photography and also for putting this video together.

  • Name of song, please?

  • @Wallylex There are two pieces present on the video. The first is the prelude from J. S. Bach's Suite for Cello Solo No.1 in G, BWV 1007 with soloist Yo-Yo Ma, and the second is movement 3 (Rondo-Allegro) from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Violin Concerto No.3 in G, K.216. Incidentally, both are available on the soundtrack of Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. Thanks for commenting!

Thanks for replying. And yes, I learned (or should I say "relearned"?) recently that these are not called "songs", but "pieces of music". I'll be looking them up. Great video of course, it would be awesome if you uploaded a couple more :-)

  • That ... was actually a well done video.

    Nice job.

  • Absolutely lovely video. She can make my clothes any day. Love that hat, too! Those were the days!

  • I agree! We definitely need more modesty and class in fashion. Male and female. Keep the dungarees for yard work.

  • Utterly charming. I wish women today could return to such Edwardian values of modesty and coquettishness......

  • Nice costume.
