Joe St.Johanser sings one of his own compositions - a classical music parody song for baritone and piano.
Suitable for an encore or after concert party. Baritones often are called upon to sing sailor songs and sea shanties. Here is a sea song that gently pokes fun at serial music - often over serious and a touch pompous.
Lyrics by John Ricketts after the Beaufort Scale for wind strength at sea. A bet was made that a song could not be composed with these lyrics. Has Joe won the bet?

  • I expected some better singing, but I love the idea and the sounds made by piano. Great!

  • Very well done indeed. Most expressive of the subject and beautifully sung.

  • Very interesting subject matter, one that I would not be keen to attempt myself!
