i don't understand, wouldn't the magnet at the end stick to the steel ball and so not roll away?

He has magical power! Burn him! Buuurn him!

hahha that was awesome :D

Are you saying it wrong on purpose?

stupid Fing table

neodmdmdm love ur accent xD

oops, just realised if you did that, the magnet on the other end will slow the ball down. nevermind.
-
just wondering, couldn't you get it to keep repeating with bigger velocity each time by arranging them like this:
0M0000M0 (M is magnet, 0 is normal ball)
so when you roll the ball at the one end, it makes the ball on the other end go really far, then when that ball comes back, it makes the first ball go EVEN further and repeaet indefinitely? (you'd need a really long ramp)
although i'm not sure if your experiment would work with the magnet on the other end.

@unbridaled I don't think it has to do with Faraday's law. Change in magnetic flux induces a current. What you're seeing here is your second part about momentum. The magnet pulls the steel bearing towards itself and the force from their collision is translated to the ball on the end, which is sent flying away. The second magnet simply caused a greater force from the collision.

Wow, you've made some pretty cool experiments! And a lot of them too - keep up the great work.
