Boss Battle 14, Lost Number (Optional) Final Fantasy VII 7 (FF7) ファイナルファンタジーVII ロストナンバー (Rosuto Nanbā)
---
Cloud Strife, Yuffie Kisaragi, and Cait Sith (Ket Shee) must battle the Lost Number from within the safe. This baddie is capable of around 2000 (Two-Thousand) Damage per attack when in Blue form, however Sadness, the back row and defendingn and Barriers can do a great deal towards preserving life. I thought this would be tough, but it wasn't. Just like the characters of your team may be highly customized, so should the bosses of any RPG. Too bad most of them here are one trick ponies... at least in my eyes that is.

Up 36, Down 10, Up 59, Up 97

Do not pass any number by accident, you'll have to start over if you do.

Lost Number
Hp: 7000
EXP: 2000
AP: 80
Drop: Cosmo Memory

Final Fantasy VII (ファイナルファンタジーVII, Fainaru Fantajī Sebun?) is a console role-playing game developed by Square (now Square Enix) and published by Sony Computer Entertainment as the seventh installment in the Final Fantasy series. It was released in 1997 for Sony's PlayStation and in 1998 for Microsoft's Windows-based personal computers. The game is the first in the series to use 3D computer graphics, featuring fully rendered characters on pre-rendered backgrounds.
Set in a dystopian world, Final Fantasy VII's story centers on the powerful megacorporation Shinra, which is draining the life of the planet to use as an energy source. Players follow a young mercenary named Cloud Strife, who joins with several others to stop Shinra. Later in the story, the main antagonist, Sephiroth, develops a plan to summon a meteor with the intention of injuring the planet to a point where it would gather massive amounts of its life force in one spot. This would allow Sephiroth to collect all the life force and gain control of all living beings.

Development of Final Fantasy VII began in 1994 and the game was originally intended for the SNES, but it was later moved to the Nintendo 64. As the system's cartridges lacked space, Square decided to release the game for Sony's PlayStation instead. The music was scored by Final Fantasy veteran Nobuo Uematsu, while the series' long-time character designer, Yoshitaka Amano, was replaced by Tetsuya Nomura.
The game was a major critical and commercial success, and remains arguably the most popular title in the series. As of December 2005, Final Fantasy VII has sold more than 9.8 million copies worldwide, earning it the position of the best-selling Final Fantasy title and the second-best-selling PlayStation game of all-time. The ongoing popularity of the title led Square Enix to produce a series of sequels and prequels under the collective title Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. Eventually a movie was made set 2 years after the events of FF7 in a movie titled Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

  • Wait....Does the Chocobo and Moogle Summon "Stop" the boss...?

  • @darkai619 Choco/Mog summon spell has the status effect of stop. with all status ailments... there's a chance it will effect the targets. With added effect materia linked with Choco/Mog on your weapon... you can sometimes add 'stop' when normally attacking. If you link Added Effect with Choco/Mog on your armor, you now can resist the stop status.

  • Oh wow, you went into that one well prepared! I wasn't much of a grinder, but because of that I could never take him in his purple form, he'd kill me every time. I chose to hit him with magic to bring out his red form and then kill him because the magic is much softer then his purple hits.

  • @kiteshugo2 I try hard at times, in the future at some point, I intend to continue this game, boss battles and all and my "plotthrough" showing avy / all events with text. So people don't have to wade through gameplay if they just want to see the story itself... of course there is always the scripts around the internet and gamefaqs. However a video project is my "way of the ninja." =D

  • Big Guard is IMBA magic

  • Good video man. I am deciding to grind up a bit before attempt to engage this boss once again. Where you recommend a good area to farm ap? . I do have the wizer staff for double ap.

  • Why Shiva, such a weak Summon?

  • Using physical attacks makes him turn purple. Purple is so much harder than red at normal levels because of him using Lost Blow twice in one turn.

  • @babyfoxgrant Grinding is a term in RPG's (Role Playing Games) where you perform random battles / random encounters to gain additional extra money, experience points, items and so on... This is called grinding or grinding for levels. Grinding is a word often used in MMORPG's (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) like World of Warcraft.

  • If you're at a low level, it helps to pummel him with magic at the beginning so he turns red. If he turns blue (Caused by physical attacks) he will cause massive damage, and eventually start attacking each team member for 800+ damage. The red version is better because all you have to worry about is magical attacks, and he's weak against physical attacks.

  • @StoneMonkWisdom the monster is called Adamontoise or something like that.

  • lol sgt. Neko

  • @StoneMonkWisdom It's a useful ability and my favorite too.

  • @alvinorto Manipulate some beach critters things near the costa del town place, then have them use big guard on your enemy skill characters.
