I have a 102 in black (a 1946 model) and I agree these were the best sounding portable gramophones ever available. I'd love to come across a coloured one (or two). Certainly my favourite gramophone!

I'll make soon a video with pictures and a song from a disk and post it on youtube and i'll give you the address.

A truly great performer sadly underated. This remains among the best Boogie Woogie solos ever recorded - it can be viewed in the 1943 movie "Incendiary Blond" starring Betty Hutton. Rocco spent his later years in Asia, finally in Bangkok where he suffered an untimely death in 1976.

Hi, They are the best portable ever made, that said the Columbia #9000 is exactly the same machine with minor changes, needle holder and hinges and can be picked up cheaper. Regards Marcel
