Hi All,

I'm running Linux Mint Cassandra, and have just jumped to compiz-fusion the 3-D Desktop. Cassandra comes with Beryl out of the box, but we do like to play around with the latest cutting edge 3-D Desktops.

Getting the aquarium going is probably robbing me of needed frame rates. But, let's show Linux (Linux Mint) off.

Want to feed the fish?

  • Can U tell me how to stop x?Couse I can't install Nvidia drivers without this...

  • noone800,

Do you mean edit "x" as in Xorg? To install the latest NVidia or ATI drivers you should look @ ENVY. That has done it for me all the time.

The last two distros that have I've used are Ubuntu Gutsy, and Linux Mint Daryna. I don't know if you know Linux - then go Ubuntu.

  • Furon3x,

You should be using Linux Mint Cassandra, that has Beryl installed right out of the box. You should be able to run 3D Desktops with Beryl. The make the Desktop a 3D Cube hit Ctrl+Alt+Left Mouse Button+And Move The Mouse.

If you have any more questions visit the Linux Mint Forum.

I don't understand what you mean about my Site.

  • What is your grafic card?

  • Hi -- I run Compaq Presario V6000Z Notebook PC with the NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 video card.

The Linux distribution that I run is Linux Mint. One of the cool tools is adding restricted drivers which is a snap.

I assume that you are running ATI, and need to up-date your drivers.

    I hope this helps.
