Letterman is too self-centred to host the show he hosts. I think his audience consists of people waiting for some nasty put down of somebody else from his lofty perch.

Funny the way these guys maneuver the discussion away from the real issue. What is on point here is that Sarah Palin's daughter is NOT a PUBLIC FIGURE. The issue is a legal one and has serious financial consequences. Just because someone is famous (or notorious), has ready access to the media and can challenge what is broadcasted about them does not necessarily mean that their family do so as well. David Letterman and his staff really botched-up that one.

Somebody tell FOX PROPAGANDA Network that Letterman is not a POLITICIAN and his sex life not anybody's business. Palin is an extremely unqualified person running for Vice President of this country. That IS everybody's business and makes her public person and subject of comedy -- and she certainly made it EASY and FUN!

Shoe doesn't feel so good on the other foot does it? Somebody tell Letterman that making rape jokes about a 14 y/o girl is not funny... Of course you could argue that since she is a political person you could, but the problem with that line of defense is you can't prove Letterman has made one comment whatsoever against Obama's daughters. Not one peep....

BTW... the 14y/o has not made any reason you suggest (easy and fun) . Nothing except Letterman went extreme and now is paying for it.
