I got the little teapot Water Dropper from e-Bay: ForbiddenCity2008
I am not sure if a Duan inkstone looks like a purple color. Frankly speaking, I have not seen too many of them since their productions are limited and prices go up alot.

doesn't that scratch your duan inkstone? i have one inkstone in light brown color and the scratch is extremely obvious. and by the way scratch on blank inkstone seems not so obvious when compared to inkstone of other color. if there is chance i should attach a video showing how poorly my inkstone has been taken care of ;)

@jishuenkam That did scratch. A ceramics teacher showed me how to fix the scratches by smoothening the inkstone with sand powder.

@artvirtue i assume that not all scratches are fixable?

@jishuenkam May be or not. I will try later.

well let me guess the reason. the part of ink stick that comes in contact with the inkstone isn't soft enough? or there is uneven ink stick surface where you grind

@jishuenkam Correct. That's why softening the ink stick with water for a few seconds is recommended. This inkstone does not have 100% even surface.
