I was originally thinking of taking part in Ludum Dare #22 and making some kind of grahically impressive game with Horde3D. (And for the first time in a Ludum Dare, I was choosing to do something 3D.)
Unfortunately I ran into some issues with Horde3D (specifically drawing 2D objects over 3D objects), and after not finding a solution in time, I dropped out of the competition.
Here is the timelapse I took during the early hours of development, while I was modeling some 3D objects with Blender 2.61.
