  • That's surprising you are covering a cake with royal icing. I bet it is very hard to cut into! Maybe it is a European custom?

  • When made correctly Royal icing is surprisingly easy to cut into and a delight to eat.

    The trick is when using royal icing to coat your cake is to remember to add the spoonful of glycerine which will prevent the icing from going rock hard...

    Royal Icing is also very economical as you only need Icing sugar, water and egg white (or dried albumen or it's substitute) plus a spoonful of glycerine(or a glycerine substitute) and cost pennies to make...
