Guns N' Roses perform "Nightrain" at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 8, 2011.

If you're wondering why the later videos in my set are shot from further back in General Admission, I can explain. About 5 songs into the set, venue security at Conseco Fieldhouse (biggest bunch of pricks working security I've EVER encountered at a rock show, by the way, and that's saying something) threatened to forcibly take away any cameras that were filming in the front row where I was standing initially.

I had made a few phone calls to the venue's security line the day before to verify that it would be OK to film with it. They said it would not be a problem, but changed their tune on the day of the show stating "No filming of any kind at Conseco Fieldhouse is ever allowed." Interesting. Keep in mind that I was doing nothing different than the dozens of others holding their cell phones in the air to film that night. Those were OK. Talk about an all-American double standard...

I traveled all the way from Tampa, Florida to catch this show and had a flight back mere hours after the show ended. I couldn't risk getting my cam taken by one of those asshats as there was no way of getting it back in time. I sacrificed my spot at front & center in order to film some more of the set from further back. In a sense, it was a sacrifice, but totally worth it. Hope that explains the situation as I would NEVER give up the spot I had waited in line for since 4pm that day. Security forced the issue.

  • Compare this to the Rock in Rio version...if Axl had sang like he is at the moment...rock in rio would not have been quite the disaster it was!

  • @gunnersorginal2010 Agreed. Axl has himself to blame for that performance. He knew it was a world stage show, and yet he arrived unprepared, out of breath, and out of shape. I love GNR, but I can still be critical of the guy. Truth is, he's getting better with each show these days...

  • Great videos u captured here, man. Axl n the boys rock!

  • @filicid I SAW THE SHOW AND WAS RAINING , BUT THE BAND IS GETTING BETTER AS WELL... HERE IN ATL THE DID PLAY AWESOME

  • The truth is: Guns eternal. Slash is just a book!

  • I as a Brazilian I have to say that Rock in Rio is a big trash can, only with pop artists. The Globo Television Network is the cancer that perpetuates this country in the third world. As a Brazilian I am very ashamed. If you missed the band was playing at a festival to accept pork. But come to play because of fucking bossy, who want to run everything at times irresponsible band playing before (soad) and many other things did Axl clearly unwilling to touch. quite different from that seen in 2010

  • Guns n roses the best band.. !!

  • ótima filmagem !

  • love it
