Tuesday night marks the season finale of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" and fans are rooting for one star in particular: Kirstie Alley. Alley's spirited choreography combined with her inspiring weight-loss places her as a fan favorite to win the mirror ball trophy.

Alley's dance partner is not the only one trying to keep up with her dance moves. Since her opening-episode number, the 60 year-old "Fat Actress" has lost so much weight, the show's costume designers have been racing to alter her dresses accordingly. A new version of the first dress Alley wore on the show had to be taken-in 38 inches so she could wear it for the finale.

In early March Alley told US Weekly that she had lost 60 pounds on her current diet and wanted to shed another 30 or 40 on DWTS.

"There will be some reveal of that at some point, but I really didn't care," she told the AP. "As long as I kept changing and changing and changing, I really didn't care."

Is dancing alone the reason behind Alley's shrinking frame? Hard to say. But there's no doubt that cutting a rug is a terrific way to burn calories. For a 160-pound person, an hour of swing dancing or doing the twist can burn 350 calories, according to WebMD's Fit-o-Meter.

While the exact amount of weight Alley has lost during the show is currently unknown, one thing is abundantly clear: dancing has given this this star a second wind. Of her weight-loss, Alley says, "I love the whittling, I like being skinny - I'm really strong and really agile and it gave me a new life."
