it's rare for anyone outside of the culture to watch a Thai cremation but in this case I was welcomed to see and film the ceremony.There's nothing unsettling about it, in fact they end up by throwing sweets for the children. It is all matter of fact with no wailing. H ave a look and be enlightened.

This video was posted one day before our beloved friend died in Thailand. Her cremation was earlier today, and although those of us in the US could not be there, your video allowed us to see what the ceremony would be like. Thank you Steve, for helping us to say goodbye.

I am so happy to read your comments. A Thai funeral is not morose as Thais believe it just another step to a better reincarnation so there was no real unhappiness. The longer I live in Thailand the more I realise how much the West has to learn. I love the people and have started a tour business to show what the REAL Thailand is like.
