The 70 threat challenge was created to test the real-time prevention capabilities of a given antivirus product. This test was performed with in the wild threats such as rogue antivirus installers, credit card stealers, keyloggers and other malware collected from websites from around the world. At BluePoint Security, we believe preventing threats is the most important aspect of computer security. As you may have experienced, removing virus infections is very cumbersome and often results in a machine that cannot be recovered without reloading the operating system.

In this test, we put BluePoint Security 2010 to the test.

Does BluePoint have what it takes to survive the 70 threat challenge?

A few of the threats used in this challenge, for a complete list feel free to email or message us.

  • i seen you do this test on AVG 9 and you still had 70 threats in the folder at the end. should i get bluepoint security or stick with AVG??????

  • Hiding te truth I see...

  • @BluePointSecurity I really think this us not the way to advertise! Contact me if you need help with the product! I am a programmer and a people person ( I know what people want!)

  • @dielan44 we've been over this one enough times. Also, the real question that everyone should be raising here is, why did all of the other products fail to prevent in the in the wild threats? Not on their list of course...Luckily we don't rely upon lists..

  • @FuzzyBanana92 That's exactly what they did...

  • is bluepoint an av or just anti spyware?

  • Does this product still nag you every time you try to launch an executable file and a setup?

  • How do we know that these 70 files were just not added to the signatures? Proof?

  • bluepoint did good but it just the hips that detected it or is it actually saying it found a threat?
