use the waste and reprocess it and/or use it in fast breeder reactors! Use thorium fuel,which is far safer than uranium!

@jjason55740 You asked a very good question! I think that the trajectory of global warming is going up much faster than normal . Charts show something is out of whack and things like that. Look at coral reefs turning white and dying. It is much more than just receding ice caps. We are pointing at everything gone astray. What you are suggesting is that we probably should study more on what is shrinking the ice caps long before we start fooling around with matches....This might provide answers.

I'm not going to say that global warming/climate change isn't real because living in Alaska for 2 summers I know for sure that it is real but what'd Ilike to hear is the explanation that environmentalist have for the fact that the ice caps that once reached all they way down to staten Island and manhattan new york some 10-14,000 years ago have been receding thousands of years before man discovered coal and oil.

Why have the ice caps receded 1000's of miles before the industrial revolution.

Fischer Tropsch and gasification can make gasoline much cheaper than crude oil can! Checkout Purdue University experiments with Fischer Tropsch process. A Well kept secret the National news Media is hiding by acting like it does not exist!

Big Oil and co-conspirators do the same! The Diesel, High Octane Gas, and Aircraft fuels made with this process even burn cleaner more efficiently!

Idiot, people think America is the global problem, But what ignorant people don't understand is place's such as china are burning it wide open and theres not one thing we will ever do to change it. We need coal it is over half of America's power. Think about it, 3 out of 5 people get their electrictty from coal, everytime you turn on a light at night thank coal , everytime you wake up to a warm home thank a coal miner, everytime you fix toast, curl your hair, take a hot shower. thank coal.
