Members of United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 555 and the community of Eugene/Sringfield held a rally on August 26th, 2007 on the Ferry Street Bridge. This was an informational demonstration. Secretary-Treasurer Jeff McDonald took a few minutes to talk about what was going on and why it is important to support the hard working people at Fred Meyer, Safeway, and Albertsons. At stake is a fair and equitable contract for the hard workers of the Eugene/Springfield area.
