what you were saying about creativity is very true. i've been drawing since i could pick up a pencil and i use images that i have seen in real life, books, photos, movies. I add to them or combine things together to create creatures or landscapes that to other people will be alien.

I have to also add that you have a hell of a talent. It can be pretty mind-boggling watching you throw shapes together, erase and throw back in over and over... and end up with something that looks great.

Thank you for this. I totally agree with the idea of us only being able to work on what we've already seen. If you ever think about mythical creatures, they're always combinations of several different known animals. Just trying to create something new, you'll find you borrow from everything you already know. It's the same with music. I loved the idea of "loose" drawing (thumbnail example) and could really identified with everything you said. Thanks so much for your advice; it was invaluable.
