Catching the Hylian Loach : Enter the fishing pond at the exact time the cucco screams for morning or when the wolf howls for night, it has to be the exact second you hear them. Equip the Zora tunic and Iron boots and walk into the lake and have a good look around for the Loach, its a brownish eel that moves alot slower than the other fish so have a good look around. If it is not there repeat the process for entering the fishing pond until it appears, it took me at least 15 attempts. When it shows up, grab a rod and find the sinking lure, located amongst the reeds and rocks in the water, at the crack in the wall, on the log sticking out the water, or in the bushes by the walls around the pond (you can only find the sinking lure as adult Link!). The Hylian Loach is difficult to tag but it is possible so keep at it! Good fishing!

Howcome this is in high resolution? is it Gamecube version or 3ds, or n64, or a PC emulator?

@FFXIHeat Cheers, I worked that out straight after and downloaded it, cannot be bothered with the keyboard controls though! Will have to dig out my N64, the controller is half the fun!

@squirttg According to many sources it is also possible to catch the Loach as a kid, but I don't think it is as big!

False!You can also catch the sinkin lure as a child.

WHA?! I didn't even know that one EXISTED! The biggest thing I caught was 22 pounds (and that was pure luck since it snagged my line right as it was almost finished retracting). AWESOME! That reward does suck however. It should be something like...IDK, a new bottle maybe? XD
