Hey, can a belisle foot snare 6" hold a hog? Because they are much cheaper than the 8".Does some one know this? thanks.

Hey, wich one did you order? The 6 inch or 8 inch. Is 6 inch good size and strong enough to catch wild boar? regards, richard

Is the snare anchored via the trap, or should the snare be anchored separately? I only just ordered a pair of these yesterday, so I have not had a chance to see/use them yet.
Also, is it possible to post a HQ version of this video to youtube?

I ordered one of these snares and recieved it today. Could not believe the welding and other work that went into it. The wild hogs that have been too smart for me are in for a real supprise.

The snare has a metal tab which fits into an oblong link attached to the trap....it doesn't necessarilly have to be but that is the way the manufacturer suggests. Sorry, but i don't have a HQ version as yet.

can you show it firing?

Not on this video....sorry. It really was meant to show how to properly SET the device as that is where most of the confusion by customers comes in to play. The Belisle footsnare fires exactly like any other foothold trap, animal steps on pan, jaws close, then as the animal slips its' foot out from between the smoothwire jaws the cable loop is tightened around its' paw. I hope this helps.
