FluxCapacitor2008: People are saying that it won't work due to GM's history with making unreliable cars. I owned a Chevy Cavalier, and it was a tremendous piece of junk. Repairs will cost you almost as much as the GM car. According to Consumer Reports magazine, GM cars are inferior.
If GM can't make a reliable gas-powered car, then what makes you think that this new gas/electricity-powered car will be reliable?

Out of a job yet?
Keep buying foreign

WHY do people keep coming up with comments on how it will not work, we need to think out of the box. Also we need to buy and build cars in America buy American manufactures and stop sending our jobs and money to Japan and China!!!!

You can take $10,000 you save in gas and oil changes over 5years plus all the co2 that will be cut, I know power plants will need to be built but it is easier to put scrubbers on a power plant then 100 million cars.

Consumers who are interested in "eco" cars are unwilling to spend $40,000 or more on a Chevy Volt. The starting price on a Toyota Prius is $21,000.

because GM is just copy japanese designs the last 20 years
look at the japanese cars and SUVs that comes out and 2 years later GM has a lookalike of it
American cars are better then foreign cars because they keep Americans working, we need to keep and support all the American manufacturing we can
