Humbling...Somehow we are all ok...
No matter what Man has made - God is still in control.
Slideshow of photos that we took and that were on the local news station's website.
The first half of the photos show how high the water got and how fast it was moving. The second half shows the debris left when the water started to go down.
4 or 5 of these are by the school where I teach. A few of them are only a couple of blocks away from our house.
The speed and force of the water in the once near-trickle creeks was mind-numbing and humbling. As we drove around the next day, I wish I had taken pictures of the office chair impaled into a tree branch and the back seat of a car that was wrapped in half (literally folded) around a tree - about 5 feet off the ground! I also heard that somewhere in the Hill Country a train was removed from its tracks - but I haven't seen any pictures of it yet.
This was the worst year we could have!! but luckly nobody was hurt in this year! amen
